Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2019 The Traveller

At the beginning of the year, Davidoff announced a new extension to the Winston Churchill line: Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2019 The Traveller. It comes in one size a 5 x 50 robusto and only 8,000 boxes were made. The cigars come in boxes inspired by leather travel cases, and include a Boveda pack so they’re ready to go on the road. The blend uses tobaccos from Nicaragua, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. At the same time, a Duty Free exclusive limited edition pack was released of this blend featuring 5 of the robustos and 5 in a special corona vitola and only 4,500 of those were made.

After a bit of a peppery start, the Davidoff Winston Churchill Limited Edition 2021 calms down nicely exhibiting dominant flavors of creamy oak and cocoa nibs along with sweetness on the retrohale that shifts from vanilla in the first third to Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in the final two thirds. The blend is also extremely well-balanced with a nice array of secondary flavors on both the palate and retrohale as well as enough black pepper to keep things interesting. Throw in the slightly more than medium strength and excellent construction, and you are left with a wonderful addition to the line that is very easy to recommend.
