The Black Label does exactly what La Palina intended: it produces a rich, full-body smoke, both in flavor and strength—all being delivered through premium quality tobacco. By the end of my 5 inch stick, it had been almost two hours, and although I wasn’t tired of the flavors, the strength was wearing on me a little bit. This is by far the strongest La Palina available, and fans looking for an extra kick can be sure to find it in the Black Label.

I have long been a fan of most of La Palina's blends and I was eager to try the Black Label, especially when I heard that it was the strongest cigar they make. There is no doubt it is its strongest blend, but what impressed me was not only the richness of the flavors, but also how the earthiness and morphing sweetness in the profile remained balanced from beginning to end on each of the samples I smoked. The construction was excellent on all samples I smoked, with nary a major issue in either the burn or draw. A great addition to the La Palina brand and one that everyone should try.

Though topped with a sloppy cap, this dark cigar smokes evenly, imparting an earthy smoke with plenty of mineral notes, a touch of cocoa and a wheaty finish.
