First things first: while the flavors were enjoyable and the construction was good, the profile was neither complex nor dynamic enough to really make it stand out from the multitude of other Nicaraguan puros on the market, let alone explain why it costs this much. Although the packaging of the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante Red is gorgeous and the presentation is top-notch, the actual cigar leaves more than a bit to be desired given the three-digit price tag, a common feeling I have when smoking cigars that cost this much money.
