CAO FASA SOMBRA

Comedy Cigars Music · May 3, 2025

Sombra’s easy draw leads with sweet cream, spice, earth, and a dash of graphite near the end of the exhale. Generous smoke output.Almond and cream linger on the finish, nice and clean. Graphite, almond, and cream flow from the nostrils on the retrohale. Nice. This would be an excellent companion to my weekend coffee and chocolate milk. ‘Merica

CAO FASA Sombra Toro

Cigar Aficionado · Aug 1, 2025

Vague notes of straw, hay, wood and soda crackers manage to come through the notably firm draw of this cigar. The smoke could be more substantial, as could the overall character.

CAO Cigars FASA Sombra Toro

Kaplowitz · May 2, 2025

[In the fullest of disclosures, the first sample of this offering exhibited a half-plugged draw and quite-cracked wrapper. It began with the foot band damaging the top-leaf, then progressed into those aforementioned woes. The below and all other accompanying information is via take two.] Lemony-sweet | Oak (green) | Suede Some white pepper lifts-up lemony-bits from the sandy not-deep-depths. Not much by way of structure. Adding to the mellow melange is a slight wildflower and green tea. Ash form

CAO FASA Sombra

CigarCzars · May 9, 2025

CAO FASA cigars are now available in three different versions having distinctive wrappers, but they all share the same binder and filler tobaccos. CAO FASA Sombra is the third version in the series, and is made with an Ecuadorian shade-grown wrapper. The blend consists of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua bound by a Cameroon binder. Both of the previous versions (FASA Sol and FASA Noche) were released in April 2024, and the latest FASA Sombra was released in April 2025. All three versions are available in two sizes (Toro 6 x 50) and Gigante (6 x 60) priced at $6.99 and $7.99, respectively. This is a review of the CAO FASA Sombra cigar in the Toro size. For more information about this cigar, please check out thepress release. The sample CAO FASA Sombra Toro cigars began with an enjoyable mild-to-medium bodied tobacco flavor having a subtle natural tobacco sweetness, along with hints of spice and cream. As the cigars were smoked, some intermittent citrus notes joined in, and the other flavors remained consistent throughout. The smoke was very smooth and comparable to some other more expensive cigars having shade grown wrappers. The smoke was not too complex and was very enjoyable. The sample CAO FASA Sombra cigars had a very good draw, even burn and held a long ash. I ashed the cigars three times at approximately 20-minute intervals during the smoking sessions, which lasted 65 to 70 minutes down to about two inches remaining. During that time, the sample cigars did not require any relights nor touch-ups, and were very well made. Of all three CAO FASA cigars, I think that the FASA Sombra's shade-grown wrapper worked the best with the same unassuming blend of filler tobaccos used by each version. Each version of CAO FASA cigars have unique flavor profiles that rely heavily on their particular wrappers, indicating that the filler accounts for less than half of each cigar's overall flavor. CAO FASA Sombra cigars are a great choice for new cigar smokers. They would also be a good choice as a morning cigar for connoisseurs, and can also be enjoyed on a hot summer day along with an ice cold beer. I rate them with a very good 4 points on a 5-point scale. At a price of only $6.99 per cigar, you can't go wrong.

CAO FASA Sombra Toro

Developing Palates · Nov 21, 2025 · April 2025

The CAO FASA Sombra Toro was not a bad cigar, but it was lacking. The flavor profile never took off, and I felt it was underwhelming for a modern Connecticut. I think it’s a cigar that a lot of new smokers could smoke, nice introductory cigar, but at the same time not a brand or line that is going to speak to those smokers. I don’t see retailers pushing this cigar. I also don’t know many CAO smokers that are going to go out and grab this cigar.
