Agile Cigar Reviews replace what we termed “Assessment Updates”. The concept is the same, but the name is different. Agile Cigar Reviews use a lightweight, shorter format. These will never take the place of our comprehensive reviews. They are only used on blends we have previously assessed. This might be a blend we are re-scoring […]

Eiroa CBT Maduro

Cigar Dojo · Oct 15, 2015

Christian Eiroa added another great stick to his family’s new line of cigars. The CBT Maduro is a delicious and classy cigar that any maduro lover—or any cigar lover, for that matter—would be missing out not to try it. With its bold, medium-full body, a great balance of hearty flavors, and a sense of heritage, it truly makes the CBT a special smoke any connoisseur should add to their collection.

Eiroa CBT Maduro Lancero

Halfwheel · Oct 15, 2022 · August 2022

After an short-lived but unfortunate start that just happened to occur in the first cigar I smoked for this review—something that I consider to be an outlier—the Eiroa CBT Maduro Lancero more than made up for the issue with a profile that is as complex as it is unique. The cigar features not only very obvious flavor transitions between thirds but also plenty of spice, an ever-changing sweetness on the retrohale and excellent balance. In the end, I don’t care what tobacco is in this flavor-bomb, it is one of the best cigars I have smoked this year and one I will be smoking more of in the future.

Earthy and bittersweet with notes of cacao, this near-black robusto takes on a woody character that leaves the palate a bit dry.
