Cigar Aficionado · Jan 1, 2020
Ever since the Espinosa Habano line was repackaged and slightly reblended in 2015, the No. 4 size has scored at least 92 points every time it's been rated. This year was no exception. Slightly longer than a robusto, but a little shorter than a typical toro, the No. 4 is made at La Zona in Nicaragua, along with the rest of the line. It's the namesake cigar of brand owner Erik Espinosa and owes its complex flavor profile to the blend of hearty Nicaraguan tobacco and a lush Ecuador Habano wrapper, which isn't too dark nor too light, but the perfect reddish shade of colorado. The smoke is driven by a persistent leathery core framed by a procession of vanilla, baking spices and brown sugar.

Espinosa Habano The Espinosa Habano is a blend that was launched in 2012 by first year company Espinosa Cigars. Espinosa Cigars was started by Erik Espinosa. Espinosa Miami Fresh Rolled Habano
Blind Man's Puff · Dec 2, 2020 · 2014
Back in 2014, Espinosa Cigars released a new cigar to give consumers the experience of smoking a freshly rolled cigar, it was simply called Espinosa Miami Fresh Rolled. The cigars were rolled in Miami, FL and shipped right away without the usual resting period before being sold. I bought these cigars when they came out, and promptly forgot about them, going untouched until a humidor cleaning earlier this year. While I have no idea what these tasted like fresh, I thought it would be fun to review them after aging for 6 years, an interesting juxtaposition to their original intent. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. All that is known about the blend is that it uses a habano wrapper as the packaging would suggest and contains Nicaraguan binder and filler.

Halfwheel · Sep 8, 2014
When I first reviewed the Espinosa Habano Corona, I thought it would make an excellent choice for a morning cigar, or a smaller stick in-between other cigars, and after more than a year of age, I still think that is the case. The flavors are very similar to when it was fresh, although I did notice a significant increase in the creaminess of the profile overall, which combines very nicely with the sweetness that is also present in the blend. As before, a very well-balanced and well-blended cigar in a great size that almost everyone would enjoy with a cup of coffee.

I Spongy-packed and rather loose drawing. A crimped vein or two. Nigh-tight, even seams. Flavors: yeasty sweet tobacco front with a mellow-spiced earthen rear. Particulars gather mainly in them twixts: caramel, schvitzing leather, and cocoa. Finish errs toward salty/soapy notes. Through the nose is a candied clove-led clarity to spices. II Piquancies dial well-back, Hay comes into under-belly. Sweet yeastiness drives on. Cedar to pine. Milk chocolate. Cream. Salt/ mineral tendencies dampen, ampl
