Utilizing seco-dominant and triple-sorted tobaccos grown on the AGANORSA agricultural conglomerate farms in Nicaragua, the cigar is rolled at the TABSA factory in only one size—a fifty-two ring gauge robusto extra—to ensure strict consistency in the flavor profile. Amazingly complex and quite brightly delivered. That combo makes for a cacophony of potentially unsettled flavors on account of lacking depth | nuance. Lotsa what's called "character" plays bandleader and well, this is maybe the jazziest smoke I've ever smoked. Every note but wet fence post is played in an improv fashion. Anniversary cigars should be special cigars, and that's exactly what the Illusione Haut 10 is. The overall experience offers levels of refinement, brightness and complexity that simply aren't found in the majority of cigars on the market, and when factoring in the retrohales and the combination between aroma and flavor, the cigar elevates that much higher. It's a cigar that can and should be smoked now, and will immediately make itself deserving of your full attention.

Lively citrus notes pop in tangy bursts around the nutty core of cashews, honeyed wood and creamy vanilla. A slightly spicy note of red pepper and hickory add dimension and zest to this pigtailed Churchill.

Just prior to the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, Illusione Cigars announced a major expansion to its lineup. One of the most exciting of these was the Illusione Haut 10 – a new cigar to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Illusione brand. Haut 10 is described as a mild-bodied, complex cigar. The blend itself is said to be “Seco dominant”, meaning from a lower priming of the tobacco plant and less powerful, and features tobaccos that are triple sorted in order to use the best materials. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a Nicaraguan Cafe Claro Corojo. The Haut 10 is available in one size – a 5 1/2 x 52 Robusto Extra. The cigars are packaged in twelve count boxes and each cigar is priced at $15.95.

The flavors themselves were great, delivering ginger biscuits, creamed bread/toast, white pepper, cedar and just enough earthiness. The importance of retrohaling couldn't be more true than this cigar, as if you don't, you will miss out on the depth of flavors.
