As light in body as it is in appearance, this sandy-colored corona imparts a mellow smoke of wheat, herbs and cedar with a hint of lemon zest on the finish. Good for fans of mild cigars.

It took a while to really hit its stride. This cigar was at it’s best in the final third, where it reminds me of a Bolivar Belicoso Fino. Moments of minerality, creamy sweetness, spiciness that borders on freshness… almost a hint of effervescence, flavors of a velvety espresso drink (flat white, anyone?)—it really has some sublime moments. Even in the early going, this cigar was surprising, delicious, and balanced. Complexity and flavor really kicked up in the end, which would deserve a higher mark than the overall score (had the entire cigar smoked on the same par).

Black & white pepper | Vanilla | Honey The most notable aspect of this profile is an unfortunate and interferingly out-of-balance black (then white) pepper. Under that spikey thumb exists pleasant bits of vanilla bean, honey, caramel. Further down is movie theater popcorn, pale ginger, and white pepper. Suede thinly falls atop hiking trail earthen nethers. Scans as an irresponsibly hopped up Connecticut in order to carry the tired mantle of 'not my father's Connecticut.' I get a hint of wildflow

Today, I’m smoking Macanudo Inspirado White in a standard 7 by 48 Churchill. Macanudo cigars can be found just about everywhere cigars are sold from premium tobacco shops to big box retailers, bodegas, and even gas stations. Originally, the Inspirado line was only available in Europe when it debuted in 2014, but the folks at General Cigar, the parent company of Macanudo, have been distributing Inspirado in the U.S. since 2016.

I feel like the Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto truly stood out as an interesting cigar with great flavor complexity. I would not hesitate to recommend this cigar to a wide array of cigar smokers, and will be adding it to my purchase list for 2018.
