Romeo y Julieta Cigars Real Twisted
An artistic barber-pole creation rolled at Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic, Romeo y Julieta Real Twisted interweaves two distinct wrapper leaves. Combining Ecuadorian Connecticut and Habano ribbons over a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican-Nicaraguan fillers, this medium-bodied smoke yields a complex dance of flavors, highlighting aromatic cedar, cracked black pepper, roasted coffee, and rich cream.

Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Twisted Toro by Altadis U.S.A.
Cigar Coop · May 12, 2023
Barber-pole cigars have always been a popular offering in the cigar industry. A barber-pole cigar takes two different wrappers and intertwines them somewhat like a barber-pole. In many cases, the wrappers have contrasting colors and this results in a striking effect on the cigar. In 2022, Altadis U.S.A. decided to bring a barber-pole offering to […] Key flavors: Coffee, Natural Tobacco, Wood, Cedar, Cream, Pepper.

If you are hoping that the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Twisted Love Story tastes like Fuente’s Between the Lines, I probably didn’t need to review the cigar to halt your wishes. These cigars don’t use the same blend, don’t come from the factory, etc. Unfortunately, the Twisted Love Story has larger issues: harshness and metallic flavors after the first inch or so. This falls into a category of cigars that I’d rather look at than smoke; and in that regard, it’s more like Arturo Fuente’s OpusX BBMF than it is a Between the Lines.
