Aganorsa Leaf Cigars Buena Cosecha Corojo
Translating to "good harvest", Buena Cosecha celebrates bumper agricultural yields from Aganorsa's fertile Jalapa and Estelí farms, rolled at TABSA. Enclosed in a Corojo '99 wrapper over Criollo '98 binder and fillers, this vibrant puro delivers a balanced medium-to-full smoke brimming with sweet cedar, cured leather, rich soil, baking spices, and cocoa.

The Aganorsa Leaf Buena Cosecha, formerly the Casa Fernandez Buena Cosecha, was released at the 2017 IPCPR trade show, but got a facelift before this years’ show. As part of the company’s re-branding to Aganorsa Leaf, they have updated some of the packaging on their products, this was one of the first, receiving new bands and boxes. The inside of the box is unchanged. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. The name Buena Cosecha translates to “Good Harvest”. The blend uses 100% tobacco from the company’s Aganorsa farms. Unlike most of the their cigars, which are rolled at TABSA (Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. in Esteli, this is made at their SABOR (Sabor Aganorsa S.A) factory in Jalapa, which they acquired in 2016. The Buena Cosecha comes in 20 count boxes in three vitolas, Robusto (5 x 50) MSRP $7.00, Toro (6 x 50) MSRP $8.00, Torpedo (6.25 x 54) MSRP $8.00

Honey nut cheerios? How interesting. That and white-to-black peppercorn which quickly settles a tick. That settling lets a toasted buttery cedar note sidle in. Dusty golden complected notes. Undertones to all that is something like beach sand, suede, Milk chocolate. After the opening 1/3, a bit of pale fruit syrup flows in. Pineapple, cantaloupe. Turkey jerky at the half. The texture is a tick gruff, particularly thru the nose, but it does drop chamomile to the palate. Quite transitional, so yes
