I could definitely see this cigar as being on my top ten list for the year so far, I could say that about the regular San Lotano Habano line, but this takes it even further for me, a great innovative shape, perfect vitola, wonderful smooth flavor profile, a complex and interesting smoke. I will definitely be buying some of these and checking out the rest of the sizes because i was extremely impressed with this cigar.

Before AJ Fernandez created New World cigars, the first brand he introduced under his own name was San Lotano Oval, in 2010, and today I’m smoking the Connecticut blend in a 5.5-by-54 Robusto. San Lotano Oval cigars are named for the unusual oval shapes they’re rolled in – similar to a box-pressed format but with softly rounded edges that comfortably fit in the mouth. San Lotano Oval cigars are handmade in Estelí, Nicaragua, where AJ Fernandez has expanded the footprint of his tobacco farms and cigar factories at a fast pace over the past ten years.

There are a couple things happening here, or 'bout to. Firstly, I'm forging ahead with my Kaplowitz Scale of primary tastes as discussed in the latest Stick Men episode (three) . Also, on that show, I smoked this same offering in its old packaging. The stick I am addressing here is garbed in new dress introduced at IPCPR 2017. Word on the street is some feel the blend is different too, although we are told this is not the case. I'll get to the bottom of this or my name ain't (now) KingAdamsPeter
