San Lotano Dominicano [AJ & Jochy]

Kaplowitz · Mar 13, 2020

Hickory | Pepper | S'mores Hickory is toasty. Pepper is black & roasty. Those two are joined at the hip with milk chocolate, graham cracker, marshmallow [follow this blog for more recipes] (S'mores) falling back into support roles. An excellent bracing/backing structure allows for that. Undertones are pleasant & classic clover honey forward, This balances the blend well. Too, there is some cereal grain, a baking spice mix, & tick of fresh ground coffee. Underbelly is a chicken coup savory earthi

San Lotano Habano Robusto

Halfwheel · Mar 30, 2011

This cigar impressed the hell out of me. I have to say that I would be very surprised if this cigar didn’t do well on every review out there. It had such rich flavors and such incredible balance, the construction was spot on with every sample I smoked I literally didn’t have to touch it up once and the burn stayed razor sharp every time. All I can say is that you need to go out and grab one of these to try and if you don’t like it come find me I will buy the rest of them off you.

San Lotano Dominicano Toro

Cigar Coop · Jul 23, 2020

In 2018, word came of a project called the San Lotano Dominicano. This is a collaboration between two power players in the cigar industry – AJ Fernandez and Jochy Blanco. Both Fernandez and Blanco have developed companies that span the ecosystem of cigars. Each owns factories and farms. In addition, each has his own cigar […] Key flavors: Cocoa, Damp Earth, Citrus, Black and White Peppe.

San Lotano Requiem Habano

Holt's Staff Reviews · Jul 13, 2026

Cuban cigarmaker AJ Fernandez produces a vast portfolio of premium Nicaraguan cigars, and San Lotano is one of the first lines he debuted when he launched his brand in 2011. Today, I’m smoking San Lotano Requiem Habano in a 6-by-54 Toro to tell you how this strong smoke stands up compared to other AJ cigars I’m fond of, as well as other potent Nicaraguan blends in general. San Lotano Requiem Habano is an easy cigar to overlook on account of how many other cigars AJ makes.
