In 2015, James Brown launched Black Works Studio, an offshoot of Black Label Trading Company that would focus on small batch releases. Three lines launched when Black Works Studio made the first shipment: NBK, Killer Bee and Rorschach. Today we are reviewing the Black Works Studio NBK Robusto. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. The Black Works Studio NBK uses an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It is rolled at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua like all other Black Works Studio. It comes in two regular production vitolas, a 6 x 46 corona gorda and a 5 x 50 robusto, both come in boxes of 20. An event only lonsdale is also produced.
