CLE PCA Exclusive 2025

Halfwheel · Sep 26, 2025 · July 2025

The CLE PCA Exclusive 2025 is a really good cigar, one that tells a fairly complete story with main characters that stay around for all three acts, and others that make more casual guest appearances. More than anything, the three cigars succeeded at pairing complementary flavors with one another. Looking back at my notes, I’m unsure when there was a point where one flavor seemed out of place. That said, I don’t think it’s a great expression of Cameroon. While I got much of the subtle sweetness, it was never paired with the vibrant sharp pepper—think horseradish—that I typically find in retrohales of cigars with African Cameroon wrappers. I haven't smoked enough of the Honduran-grown version to know if that's a common trait, but it's often a telltale sign with the Ecuadorian wrappers. If you are a fan of the medium-plus to medium-full CLE/Eiroa/Asylum releases, add this one to the list.
