Crowned Heads Jericho Hill

Cigar Dojo · Jul 6, 2015

This thing puts out a ton of thick white smoke, I love that. Though, considering its spicy strength, I eventually realized I probably should've eaten dinner first! I'd say if you're wanting to try anything similar to my experience... Do it on a full stomach! Medium to full bodied, full flavor & wonderful construction make this cigar an absolute dream to smoke. Take your time & enjoy every last puff & savor the flavor. I would only hesitate to smoke this if you're a novice who prefers Macanudo & Budlight.

Jericho Hill OBS

Halfwheel · Jul 6, 2014 · July/August 2014

To say that I'm excited about what this new relationship between Crowned Heads and My Father might offer would be an understatement; I remain a big fan of Las Calaveras and my first experience with Jericho Hill has been very favorable. The flawless technical performance should come as no surprise given the track record of cigars coming out of the My Father factory, and while there are times that the Jericho Hill's flavor leaves me at a loss for descriptors, it never leaves me unsatisfied; more importantly, it leaves me wanting to fire up another one. My Father's capability with Mexican San Andrés was established for me with the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor made for Ashton, and the Jericho Hill only takes another step in solidifying the company's ability to deliver a quality experience with a tobacco variety that I continue to find geared for my palate.

Crowned Heads Jericho Hill "12 Honest Men" Lancero - Cigar Review Redux by Kaplowitz

Kaplowitz · Aug 2, 2018

"Have you Kaplowitz'd to-day?" Pungenday Confusion 67th, YOLD 3184 Moreso than a simple redux (altho it's quite that as well) this will serve as a gathering point for reviews of this Crowned heads Jericho Hill blend. Here's my first look at the 12 Honest Men Lancero from back on Xmas Eve 2015: LINK . Then, here a look at its Long Black Veil (LBV) Grand Corona brethren: LINK . Jericho Hill Limited Edition

Holt's Staff Reviews · Oct 16, 2017

There are two things in life that I love doing together: smoking a cigar and listening to music. So when a musically-inspired cigar hits the market, it tends to grab my attention. Case in point, Jericho Hill by Crowned Heads. This cigar is manufactured by José ‘Pepin’ Garcia in Estelí, Nicaragua, and is dedicated to the late, great Johnny Cash and his famous album recorded at Folsom Prison. I am going to be enjoying Jericho Hill Limited Edition 12 Honest Men (Lancero) on my front porch with the record player cranked up and the vinyl spinning.

Jericho Hill OBS

CigarCzars · Dec 8, 2019

Jericho Hill cigars are the fourth brand released by the Crowned Heads cigar company. The inspiration for this brand was a Johnny Cash song entitledCocaine Blues, and the cigar's name was taken from a line in song about the sheriff of Jericho Hill. These cigars were introduced in 2014, and are made at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua with Mexican San Andres wrappers and Nicaraguan binders and fillers. Jericho Hill is available in four sizes, including the OBS (4¾ x 52) sampled for this review. Jericho Hill is a slightly box pressed cigar having a rustic appearance. The cigar began with a deep, rich and full tobacco flavor that was medium-to-full bodied. The taste was earthy and naturally sweet with subtle hints of pepper and spice. The cigar became smoother as it was smoked, and a cocoa flavor also emerged. The Jericho Hill OBS had an even burn, held a long firm ash, and had a great draw. Despite its somewhat rugged appearance, the cigar was very well constructed and smoked beautifully. No relights nor touch-ups were needed. It took me almost an hour to smoke the cigar down to just 1½ inches remaining. The suggested retail price for a single Jericho Hill OBS cigar is $8.75. This is a fair price for a very good tasting and smoking cigar that lasts for about an hour. I rate it with a solid 4 points on a 5-point scale.
