Crowned Heads Cigars La Vereda
Representing Crowned Heads' luxury flagship portfolio, La Vereda ("The Path") is handcrafted by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic. Encased in a rare shade-grown Jalapa wrapper aged four years over Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers, it yields a regal medium-to-full smoke brimming with sweet cedar, wild honey, floral toast, and gentle pepper.

Crowned Heads La Vereda No. 54
Cigar Aficionado · Feb 6, 2024 · Cigar Insider
There is an oily sheen to the cover leaf of this thick toro. Hearty notes of wood, herbs and nuts linger on the palate before a finish of honeyed wood. Both the draw and burn are even throughout.

This is the most expensive Crowned Heads cigar to date. At just over $20 for the No. 54 (close to a toro), getting three of these for this review was a hard pill to swallow but I didn’t hesitate too much as I have really enjoyed many of the recent releases from them. Crowned Heads...

The Crowned Heads La Vereda No. 50 had some promising moments in the first third, but the remainder of the review experience was flat, with no dynamic character that made the experience stand out from the crowd for me. Crowned Heads has put out a number of cigars over the years that have really impressed me, and the La Vereda No. 50 was one I was looking forward to. The combination of flavor profile and premium price point make this an easy pass in the future for me, unfortunately.
