The Drew Estate Herrera Esteli Miami is a project by Master Blender Willy Herrera allowing him to go back to his roots where he got his start, the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami. The factory is owned by Willy’s mother-in-law and fellow industry ledged, Sandra (Sandy) Cobras. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. The Herrera Esteli Miami line launched in 2016 as a limited edition cigar in one size, a 5 3/4 x 48 corona gorda. It expanded to regular production and more sizes in 2018 including: Robusto Grande (5 x 50) – $10.99, Toro Especial (6 x 52) – $11.75, Lonsdale Deluxe (6 1/2 x 44) – $11.30, and Piramide Fino (6 1/2 x 54) – $12.75. The blend has remained the same since launch, including an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and filler from Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. All comes in boxes of 10 except the Lonsdale Deluxe which is boxes of 20.

Issues with consistency aside, when I got a good sample of the Herrera Esteli Miami Piramide Fino, it was quite enjoyable, with a dominant leather and cedar combination on the palate along with a rich raisin sweetness on the finish that hit its peak early in the second third. Although I still prefer the sweeter and creamier profile of the original Herrera Esteli blend a bit more, the Herrera Esteli Miami Piramide Fino would be great for those looking for a bit more earth, spice and pepper in their cigar's profile.

I really liked the small transitions that the cigar started with. At the midway point, the flavors became more linear. This is another nice addition to the Herrera Esteli line and one I would gladly revisit in the future.
