Dunbarton Sobremesa Solita Red

Kaplowitz · Dec 1, 2025

Spiced Rum | Mexican Hot Chocolate | Savory Cedar Spiced rum. Something of a pineapple upside-down remembrance. Layers and overlaps. Mexican hot chocolate and an Almond Joy. Meaty-savory cedar and oily French press coffee. A late entry into the Kaplowitz Media. CotY 2025 race? Salted caramel. The pigtail cap cracks at the clip, and remains scarred. Wrapper peels a tick. Nevertheless, all thankfully holds, fades into memories more recessed than even cake. All this, in spite of my greedy pulls. So

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Corona Grande

Blind Man's Puff · Jul 12, 2016

Stevee Saka’s new company is called Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust and is named after the New Hampshire town where he and his wife, Cindy, who’s also a partner in the company, reside. Saka has worked in the cigar industry for over 30 years. A cigar smoker since 1984, he wrote extensively about cigars for years until 2000, when he was hired to be an executive consultant for cigar retailer and distributor JR Cigars. He worked there for four years before joining Drew Estate, where he oversaw the production of brands such as Liga Privada, Acid and Herrera Esteli. He even held equity in Drew Estate, where he rose from president to CEO, but was bought out after departing in 2013. The Sobremesa comes in 5 sizes): Corona Grande, 5 1/4″ by 44 ring gauge; Cervantes Fino 6 1/4″ by 46; Robusto Largo, 5 1/4″ by 52; El Americano, 6″ by 52; and Gran Imperiales, 7″ by 54. Every vitola is packaged in boxes of twenty five. The wrapper for Sobremesa is a rosado South American Habano leaf, whereas the binder is Matacapan from Mexico. The fillers include four tobaccos that were cultivated from Nicaragua: C-SG seco, which is a Criollo hybrid from Condega, Criollo viso from Pueblo Nuevo, and Criollo ’98 viso along with a hybrid ligero from Estelí. Additionally, the final blend includes broadleaf ligero grown in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Sobremesa Brûlée Wagashi from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Simply Stogies · Jul 12, 2024

The Sobremesa Brûlée Wagashi is a collaboration between DT&T and Cigar Dojo. It was first a Smoke Inn exclusive that built on the Sobremesa Brûlée Blue and is a modified blend of the Blue. The Blue is one of my favorite cigars from Steve Saka; so I was looking forward to this release to see...

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Cervantes Fino

Developing Palates · May 5, 2017 · November 2015

There were nice transitions through the thirds beginning with a robust earthy oak to a sweeter cedar and allspice and finally a richer char with some dark roast coffee highlights.

DUNBARTON TOBACCO & TRUST SOBREMESA SOLITA RED

Comedy Cigars Music · Dec 28, 2025

Things start a bit harsh with Solita Red, but it settles into a sweet dark wood and well-balanced spice fairly quickly. Smooth draw with a generous smoke output. Burn waves a bit, but it causes no issues for me.Coffee and leather push through just before the half, and they both find their w

Covered in delicate veins, this cigar offers densely interwoven aromas of citrus zest, cedar wood, and freshly ground black pepper. The dark roasted notes are accompanied by a gently sweet melt.
