White pepper | Lemon meringue | Beach sand Quite earthen, exhibited in a beach sand manner. Throw a beach blanket over that, but it's made of suede. Lemony and creamy (lemon meringue, say) with a bit of a toasty vibe attached. Graham cracker crust. Sweet, simply-so, via table sugar. Not cloying. Finely ground white pepper firms-up the profile, keeps it honest and structured. Floral-almost-perfumed on the back-end. Tastes a bit like summer. Sunny not glaring not fogged, just nice. Well-balanced.

Gurkha unveiled a new line regular production cigars for the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Gurkha Revenant. The line consists of two blends, Gurkha Revenant Corojo and Gurkha Revenant Maduro. The Revenant line rolled at Tabacalera El Artista in the Dominican Republic. Both blends are different except the use of a Cameroon binder. Tabacalera El Artista ‘s Ram Rodriguez ‘s original plan was to use Cameroon for the, but, during the blending process, Jim Colucci, CEO of Gurkha Cigars, was worried about the Cameroon wrapper being too fragile for a wrapper. The decision was then made to use it for the binder, and the blend took shape. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. While both blends utilize the Cameroon binder; the Revenant Corojo features a Honduran corojo wrapper, with Dominican corojo 98, Nicaraguan and a broadleaf fillers of undisclosed origin. The Revenant Maduro blend uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, and a hybrid tobacco called T-13 grown in the Dominican Republic by Rodriguez, and Nicaraguan tobacco and a broadleaf of undisclosed origin for filler. The two version come in the same two vitolas: 5 x 50 robusto MSRP $7.50, and 6 x 54 toro MSRP $8.50. Both both come in 20-count boxes.
