The Kristoff Cameroon was first shown off at IPCPR 2015 in New Orleans. The blend uses an African Cameroon wrapper aged 7 years, Dominican Habano Seed binder, and Nicaraguan Habano Seed and Dominican Habano Seed fillers. It comes in three sizes: Matador 6.5 x 56, Robusto 5.5 x 54, and Churchill 7 x 50. All the cigars come in boxes of 20 in a bed of loose cigar leaf. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience.

I wonder what this cigar would taste like if the smoke was at a normal temperature. The smoke that entered my mouth was warmer than what I normally find on a cigar and I found the flavors to be muted, things that are oftentimes related. Perhaps more time in the humidor solves this issue, perhaps subsequent batches won’t burn like this, perhaps this is just what happens with this blend in this vitola. If you are hoping that this is an alternative to the Short Story, I think it looks more like a Short Story than it tastes like one. Regardless, if you want a short dose of Cameroon flavors, this mostly fits the bill.
