The Kristoff Sumatra was the featured new released for Glen Case and his Kristoff brand at the 2009 IPCPR trade show in New Orleans. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Brazilian binder, and filler including Cuban Seed Dominican, Cuban Seed Nicaraguan. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. Kristoff Sumatra comes in 5 different sizes: Matador – 6.5 x 56, Robusto – 5.5 x 54, Torpedo – 6.25 x 52, Churchill – 7 x 50, and Lancero – 7.5 x 40. It sells from $9-10 per stick.

Made with a knotted pigtail and uncut foot, this big Churchill shows a clear floral character atop a core of cedar, minerals and fruity notes of berries and cherry liqueur.

Still owned and operated by founder, Glen Case, Kristoff is one of those boutique cigar names that refuses to sell-out. It also makes some truly amazing products.
