Holt's Staff Reviews · Aug 13, 2020
I am reviewing Nub Habano in the ultra-popular 460 format, a short fat cigar, 4 inches in length with a 60 ring gauge. Nub cigars are handmade at the Oliva factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, where several award-winning blends are produced, including Oliva Serie V Melanio and Oliva Master Blends. The makers of Oliva developed Nub in 2008. The short, stocky, and eye-catching shapes of Nub proved far more than a simple gimmick. The Nub brand enjoys immense popularity today and has contributed much to the demand for bigger ring gauge cigars.Read full review on Holt's Staff Reviews

NUB is not trying to be a long, slow, evolving cigar. It is trying to deliver the sweet spot right away and hold it. On that promise, it does a very good job.Read full review on Anthony's Cigar Emporium

Nice stick. Better schtick. More schtick than stick, that is to say. Pairings : Spiced tea, sweet tea, syrupy cola. Coffee is too on-the-nose. I almost want to say a ham sammich -- and my Reconstructionist Rabbi might approve. (I believe cold cuts and the wanting of, speak to a lack of savoriness in this offering.)Read full review on Kaplowitz
