Leaf by Oscar Lancero Maduro

CigarsLover Magazine · Feb 9, 2024

The Leaf by Oscar Lancero Maduro is one of the most acclimated cigars of the brand. They are sold in 20-count boxes and the man behind the blend is Oscar Valladares, who launched the cigars back in 2015, wrapping them up in a tobacco leaf. Once the external leaf is removed, the cigars […]

Leaf By Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo Toro

Halfwheel · Sep 24, 2023 · July 2023

The Leaf By Oscar has long been a line that I have enjoyed, and the Leaf By Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo Toro has no problems continuing that trend. Flavors of earth, cooca nibs, charred meat and sweet barbecue sauce combine nicely with a distinct combination of raisin sweetness and red pepper on the retrohale, along with some fairly unique notes throughout like mustard seed. In addition, the extremely good construction makes it a joy to smoke from a physical standpoint, certainly not a given these days. Sure, the whole “cigar wrapped in a tobacco leaf” aesthetic is a little gimmicky, but in the end the Leaf By Oscar 10th Anniversary Criollo Toro backs that gimmick up with the flavors, balance and construction that it needs to have in order to be one of the better regular production releases on the market today.

Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf Limited Edition 2025

Developing Palates · Aug 6, 2025 · April 2025

This Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf Limited Edition 2025 is a quality Connecticut Broadleaf and is worthy of the limited edition marking. There's nothing bad about the flavor profile as it gave me a nice array of sweetness, spice and rich earthiness. The only thing that I wish for is a consistent up tick in the body to further highlight the earthiness of the cigar. Will smoke this again for sure.
