Perdomo Legacy is the newest line in the Perdomo portfolio, and I’m smoking the Legacy Maduro in a 6-by-54 Epicure for today’s review. This hearty smoke hails from Nicaragua, where brand founder Nick Perdomo operates a growing network of farms and a modern factory in Estelí. The Legacy series is distinct from other Perdomo cigars as Nick’s son, Nicholas Perdomo III, blended the collection in honor of his father’s 60th birthday. Not only are Legacy series cigars blended by Nicholas III, but he also chose a special new hybrid tobacco that the company hasn’t used previously.Read full review on Holt's Staff Reviews

Perdomo is one of of those brands that I just don't smoke enough of, either because I am not reviewing many or because I just don't come across them all that often. When it comes to the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son Maduro, I found that although the profile does take a little while to get going—the first third was easily the least complex of each cigar I smoked—once it finds its rhythm, the cigars become more nuanced, more flavorful, and yes, more enjoyable. There is no lack of smoothness in the profile, so I was not surprised to see that it incorporates aged tobacco into the blend. I have had better cigars from Perdomo—including the aforementioned Legacy Connecticut—but the Legacy Father & Son Maduro is has a great story and is a nice addition to the company's lineup.Read full review on Halfwheel

Herbal, floral first puffs turn nutty with a hint of perfume. The draw and burn are consistently even.

I enjoyed the Perdomo Legacy Maduro Epicure. It was not overly complex, but it had a nice core flavor profile from start to finish. The notes of earth, wood, tobacco, coffee beans, cocoa and spices played off one another well, and kept my interest throughout the large cigar. Honestly, in today’s market, having something smoke at a simple and solid level from beginning to end is a big deal. Good cigar, and I am interested in the other wrapper offerings.
