Tatuaje Fausto FT153 Toro

Cigar Aficionado · Jan 1, 2019

Pete Johnson doesn't deny it: his Tatuaje Fausto is the strongest cigar in his portfolio. Created as a private blend for a Hawaiian retailer, Fausto became a full commercial line in 2011, taking its name from a discontinued vintage Cuban cigar brand. The horned image of Mephistopheles burned into the cabinet's lid echoes the original box art and references the tale of Dr. Faustus, an ambitious scholar who made a pact with the devil. The smoke is a dense, concentrated cigar, full of coffee bean, earth, white pepper and a sweet hint of molasses. This is not a mild smoke, and it's obviously intended for those who prefer full-bodied blends. With a retail price of less than $10, you can have this very strong experience without feeling as though you've sold your soul.

Tatuaje Fausto IT MM19

CigarsLover Magazine · Sep 20, 2019

The Tatuaje Fausto IT MM19 is the second release of a regional series exclusively for Italy. Compared to last years V551 release, the IT MM19 has the same blend (everything, except for the Mexican San Andres wrapper, is identical to the regular production Fausto), but the size is different. This years release is larger […]

Tatuaje Limited Series Fausto FT114

Halfwheel · Jun 24, 2013

This is a better cigar than where it was 15 months ago. It's smoother, more complex and yet still quite full. If you've been holding onto a few with a year of rest on them, now's a great time to light up at least one. The drop-off for strength will presumably happen, my recollection of the last original Fausto I smoked said that happened slightly after a year and a half, but each size will presumably be different. Regardless, a good cigar got better.

Stogies on the Rocks · Aug 24, 2012

is a great medium-bodied cigar. It really opens up in the 2nd and final thirds delivers a good amount of smoke and holds a decently long ash. The construction was intricate and flawless and led to a really good smoke. I would smoke it again and I know I’d enjoy it. I’d even pass it out to friends who are just looking to get into cigars because I think it’s a great smoke for the beginner who is just starting to develop their palate.

Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero

Developing Palates · Aug 23, 2021 · May 2021

The Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero is a solid lancero and my experience when I was done was that this was not as strong as the original Fausto, but more complex overall as a blend. The flavors were superior. There was balance and substance with this cigar. Really well made cigar.
