Tatuaje Series P Miami P3 Short Robusto

One of the more rewarding parts of this job is discovering cigars that I've likely walked by a few times when perusing my local retailers' humidors. Such is the case with the Tatuaje Series P Miami P3 Short Robusto, a cigar that I would probably pass right by on most occasions in favor of something a bit more premium , for lack of a better word. Yet this little cigar offers plenty of flavor, balance and complexity, and certainly more than a lot of other cigars I have smoked that come with more premium price tags. After three samples, there isn't much I can complain about when it comes to this cigar; it might not be the most dynamic profile, but it didn't disappoint me or leave me wanting for much more out of it. This is a very pleasant and enjoyable cigar that delivers a lot of flavor in not a lot of time and for not a lot of money.

The Tatuaje Series P Honduras marks a noticeable pivot for one of the brand’s long-running lines, shifting from its original Nicaraguan-heavy roots to an all-Honduran core wrapped in Nicaraguan Habano and produced in a Cuban sandwich style at the My Father Cigars Honduras factory. It’s clearly positioned as a value-priced cigar, and that intent shows throughout the smoking experience. The profile stays largely planted in familiar territory, built around wood, coffee, and a restrained pepper note, with some early creaminess that fades fairly quickly. As the cigar progresses, transitions are limited, and the profile becomes drier and more char-forward, leaning into repetition rather than evolution. Construction remains steady, but the finish lingers with a compressed mix of wood, coffee, and spice that reinforces exactly what this cigar is meant to be: consistent, approachable, and uncomplicated.

The Tatuaje Series P Honduras Short Toro was a good cigar. It was a blend I would come back to in the future, and it is a cigar I would smoke regularly. It had a wonderful core flavor profile that was complex from start to finish. The strength and body worked well with the flavors, and it delivered an easy smoking experience that was very enjoyable. I could smoke all the time while at the beach, and light one up in the morning or evening.
