Created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Aging Room, the Blue Amber pairs tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, including filler from the Las Cumbres region that inspired the cigar's name. The presentation is every bit as premium as its price tag, featuring an oily Nicaraguan wrapper, excellent construction, and one of the more striking bands and box designs on the market. The smoking experience opens with dark chocolate, espresso, plum, and black pepper before transitioning toward green cedar, dusty leather, and earthy notes, with occasional flashes of sweetness providing balance. Construction remains solid throughout, with only minor burn waviness, though the draw stays consistently snug before opening slightly in the second half. The profile finishes considerably drier than it begins, with bitter baker's chocolate, green cedar, earth, and white pepper carrying the cigar to its conclusion.

The Aging Room Blue Amber Blue Turquoise was a tale of two different profiles: the first and third cigars offered fairly standard flavors of gritty earth, espresso and either honey or raisin sweetness. However, the second cigar—which incidentally, was the cigar closest to the ring gauge that these were supposed to be—was on its own level, with peanut butter, dark chocolate and cloves as well as less pepper, less strength and a wonderful grape jelly sweetness on the retrohale. Give me three cigars that smoked like the second one, and I would be a very happy camper, but if you are buying singles of this cigar, I would rummage through open boxes to pick the thickest ones.
