Crowned Heads Cigars Four Kicks Mule Kick

Full StrengthOrigin: Dominican RepublicWrapper: Ecuadorian Habano / Mexican San Andrés / Ecuadorian SumatraBlender: Jon Huber

A beefed-up limited-edition variation of the original Four Kicks recipe, Mule Kick is crafted by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at Tabacalera La Alianza in the Dominican Republic. Utilizing dark, high-priming wrapper leaves over an amped-up Nicaraguan filler blend, it unleashes a potent, full-bodied smoke loaded with dark chocolate, espresso bean, damp earth, leather, and zesty black pepper.

CROWNED HEADS FOUR KICKS MULE KICK LIMITED EDITION 2022

Comedy Cigars Music · Jun 26, 2022

Coffee, oak, earth, dark chocolate, and leather are Mule's first steps. The draw and smoke output compete for 1st place. Coffee, butter, and oak hit the nose on the retrohale. Keto? I have no idea. The finish meanders with coffee and spice. The latter lingers much longer and allows sweetness to slowly develop prior to the next draw.

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Mule Kick 2019

Blind Man's Puff · Oct 25, 2019 · March 2019

The original Mule Kick was released back in 2012 and was Crowned heads first limited edition cigar. The cigar had a higher priming Habano wrapper than the regular production counterpart and a tweaked blend. Only 5000 cigars were rolled on that first release. The original blend was released again as a 2017 limited edition then a new blend in 2018 that used a Connecticut Habano Maduro wrapper. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. Earlier this year, Crowned Heads announced the Four Kicks Mule Kick 2019 that uses the same binder and filler as previous years, but will now be covered with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. A total of 2500 10-count boxes will be made for this round and each cigar sells for $10.95. Like many other Crowned Heads blends and all Four Kicks releases, the cigars are rolled at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A. run by E.P. Carrillo.

Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition 2018

Halfwheel · May 3, 2018 · April 2018

I have been a fan of the Four Kicks blend since it was introduced, but the Connecticut habano wrapper adds a whole different dimension to the profile. Instead of milk chocolate and cedar that was present for the previous versions of the Mule Kick, there is quite a bit of earth, creamy oak and raisin sweetness, as well as a very interesting herbal flavor that really set off the complexity when it was present, mostly in the first third. Despite the very obvious soft spots in each of the samples, the overall construction was fine and the solid medium strength was well-integrated. In the end, the Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition 2018 is not only a cigar that was a pleasure to smoke, but also easily one I will be picking up again.

Crowned Heads Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2020

Cigar Aficionado · Jun 28, 2022 · Cigar Insider

Topped with a lopsided cap, this inky-hued cigar has an even burn and slightly airy draw that produces plenty of smoke. Charred wood, crushed red pepper and some cocoa notes frame a licorice core that recurs onto the finish.
