Curivari Seleccion Superior Privada Maduro Fabulosos

Cigar Aficionado · Apr 1, 2012

Dark with a reddish-brown tinge to the wrapper, this cigar starts with a horse-radish spice before sweet flavors of dried and candied fruit become more prominent.

Curivari Seleccion Privada Lancero Limited Edition 2021*

Halfwheel · Sep 29, 2025

There were some significant issues with the three Curivari Seleccion Privada Lancero Limited Edition 2021 cigars that I smoked them for my original review: extremely problematic burn lines that needed numerous corrections, as well as noticeably muted flavors in the final two-thirds. Thankfully, a bit more than three years of rest has been kind to the cigar. While the burn line was virtually never straight, there was only one minor correction needed, somewhat ironically in the first third. In addition, the flavors in the second half were substantially more distinct than what I remember from the first review. While I never found the Seleccion Privada Lancero Limited Edition 2021 to be one of Curivari’s best releases, some aging time has done wonders when it comes to fixing the problems I had with it when it was first released.

Curivari Selección Privada Lancero

Developing Palates · Mar 14, 2022 · November 2021

This was an enjoyable cigar, and while not overly complex, it did have a bit of transitioning throughout. In some ways, the simplest aspects of the Curivari Selección Privada Lancero made it so enjoyable. With the cigar being just a little bit larger than your standard lancero, it seemed less fragile and more of a lancero you could smoke throughout the day while handling other items.
