I Creamy cedar steers with a finely-ground black pepper riding shot-gun. Brown sugar sweetens back-seat. White chocolate and pistachios swirl. Natty 'baccy under-belly with neat complexities. Verily a pale Oscuro top-leaf with delicate physical tendencies. Excellent draw. Even burn. Dense burnt-offerings. Rich and round as a comedian with a syndicated sit-com. Drew Estate announced Pappy Van Winkle “TRADITION” back in July. This extremely limited supply brand was shown off at the IPCPR Convention and Tradeshow.. The Pappy Van Winkle Tradition is only available at Drew Diplomat Retailers. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. The Pappy Van Winkle Tradition has an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Indonesian Binder and aged fillers from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic. Availability is limited. With nutty, coffee and toast aromas as well as wood and a cocoa/caramel sweetness, this cigar makes a promising start. It develops delicate salty, earthy tones and a very interesting sweet-sour play on the palate.
