La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch
Holt's Staff Reviews · Dec 15, 2025
A few weeks ago, La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch arrived in our warehouse like an early Christmas present. As the name implies, a limited quantity of this exclusive, rare smoke has been released to select retailers across the country. Small Batch comes in a single 6-by-52 size, and today I’m indulging in this hard-to-find gem from one of today’s hottest Cuban-legacy brands. Renowned father-and-son cigarmakers Pepin and Jaime Garcia have been blending and producing the complete La Aroma de Cuba portfolio for nearly two decades.Read full review on Holt's Staff Reviews

Cigar Aficionado · Jan 27, 2026 · Cigar Insider
Crafted with a triple-seam cap and round head, this cigar has an open draw and even combustion. Initial impressions of leather and incense warm up to reveal notes of almond and sugar cookie that come together for a pecan sandies effect. Touches of red pepper and coffee bean usher in a leathery finish.

After about five puffs of the third cigar, I probably could have started writing the conclusion. The first cigar I smoked had superb flavor and average construction, the second was very good flavor but with below average construction, and the third cigar had below average flavor and poor construction. The La Aroma de Cuba Small Batch can be an excellent cigar. If the flavor profile of the first two cigars was paired with even above-average construction, this would be a cigar that would be a serious candidate for any Top 25 list. But as has been the case way too often for way too long, this cigar’s score died in the hands of the buncher. The third cigar is a prime example of a cigar with a draw that is not just too tight, but just shy of plugged, and unfortunately, the final score suffered as a result.
