La Aurora 115th Anniversary Limited Edition Gran Toro

Halfwheel · May 22, 2019 · March 2019

If you get the same cigar that I smoked—and that seems like a bigger if than it should be given the general confusion here—you will get a great cigar. For all of the head-scratching nonsense that was caused by the rollout of this line, the actual cigar itself is very good. It’s complex and balanced with a fuller profile than what is typically found in a La Aurora cigar. At $19 you aren’t getting any sort of value, but that doesn’t take away from the cigar or the score. And while I might not have very much confidence of what the actual blend is, I do know that it is very good and I suppose that’s all that counts.

La Aurora 115th Anniversary Toro

Cigar Aficionado · Jun 1, 2020

A fat toro with an oily wrapper and round head. It burns and draws well showing a floral, oaky smoke with notes of pepper and cinnamon before the woody finish.

La Aurora 115 Anniversary Limited Edition Belicoso

Cigar Dojo · Oct 25, 2019

La Aurora 115 Anniversary Limited Edition Belicoso isn't your average smoking experience. The cigar kicks off with a unique array of spices, tasting like foreign cuisine. The dry-textured smoke begs to be paired with a refreshing, citrus-fueled beverage; this isn't necessarily a criticism, but can prove to be if the precarious burn is heated too rapidly. Two to three touchups from start to finish can be forgiven, but tunneling issues and a harsh finale are worrisome. Essentially, it's a cigar that I'd gladly smoke again at half the price.

La Aurora 115th Anniversary | Cigar Review by Kaplowitz

Kaplowitz · Sep 6, 2019

A brindle complected stick, handsomely-so. Leather savoriness envelopes an orange pith; wrapped in natty 'baccy. Smooth. Balanced. Scant pepper notes, red. Mainly spices: cumin, paprika, cinnamon. Undertones: butterscotch, milk chocolate, cultured butter*. Then an underbelly of terra cotta clay earthiness. Day-lit, but not brightly. Finish is a leather oily citrus of short leggedness. Burns somewhat jaggedly tho self corrects albeit for one re-touch at the 2/3. Slight mousehole burn happens at t

LA AURORA 115 ANNIVERSARY

Comedy Cigars Music · Nov 27, 2022

Excellent bands on this 115. Mild coffee, sweetness, bread, and an understated floral note dance in and out of the thick smoke. Citrus and earth flow through the nose, and that citrus hangs in the nostrils for a bit. Spice, mild coffee, earth, and sweetness coat the palate then smoothly melt away.Wood, spice, and sugar drift

La Aurora 115th Anniversary Regular Production Robusto

Developing Palates · Nov 13, 2019 · June 2019

I was very pleased with the La Aurora 115th Anniversary Regular Production Robusto. It may not show a lot of transitioning between each third, but the flavor profile delivered and balance was very enjoyable. There is some depth and complexity to the cigar and the combination of cinnamon and lemon was fantastic. A solid cigar that I will enjoy in the future.

La Aurora 115 Anniversary Robusto

Cigar Journal · Dec 15, 2019 · Top 25 Cigars of 2019: The Complete List (Rank #17)

The earthy and woody aromas are supported by spicy/tangy flavors. Tart roasted aromas, chili spice and sweetness (licorice, cacao), cloves, and fruity notes give the cigar an exciting profile.

Robusto · 5.00″ × 50 · 8 (out of 10) · the wrapper is from Ecuador and is a Sumatra seed; the binder is from mata-fina tobacco from Brazil; and the filler is comprised of tobaccos from the Dominican Valle de Cibao, from Nicaragua, and Brazil
