Though the wrapper of this cigar is slightly coarse, the smoke is quite refined, layering the palate in notes of leather and coffee bean before bursts of nutmeg, ginger and molasses appear on the palate. The finish is long and oaky.

Cameroon has long been my favorite wrapper and blends like this show why. When done right, Cameroon seems to offer contrasting flavor profiles that is oftentimes lacking in other, more dominant wrappers. The La Aurora Cameroon provides a deep and rich flavor that is wonderfully complemented by some very acute candy-like sweetness. It certainly doesn’t have the finesse of some of La Aurora’s flagship Cameroon-wrapped cigars, namely the Preferidos, but it provides an extremely rich profile at a great price.

Dry-leathery sweet and somewhat dusty cinnamon-driven spices. There's a cappuccino twixt that & undertones of cedar-laced earth. That cedar bit on occasion leaps up high 'nuff to become primary for a few pulls. The shuffled deck of that always finds itself put back in order. At the second-half & on: chicken broth. Voluminous smoke clouds, easy draw, and dead-even burn-line. Finish is of a moderate length with a tangy berry if not citric fruit sweetness.
