The H-2K-CT Toro took Cigar of the Year honors when it was first released in 2015. All these years later, we’re still enamored with this cigar, which sports a Habano 2000 wrapper grown in Connecticut, hence the name. It’s a beautifully executed cigar that can stand up to big pairings and still keep you coming back for more.

For the price, this cigar more than delivers on the flavor end of the spectrum, surprisingly, it's the construction that is lacking. As always, this can potentially be fixed with further aging, but it was alarming that all of our samples required multiple touchups (at least 3 per cigar). I really love the look, feel, and size of this smoke, making for a nice hour+ of enjoyable flavors. The name doesn't exactly roll off your tongue and may be a little tricky to grasp the whole concept, but the flavors certainly don't lie. Interestingly, like its hybrid concept, I found the flavors to have the complexity of a habano, with the sweetness of a nice maduro.
