Jammy, fruity notes, layers of peanut and a toasty undertone all combine to make the smoke of this robusto taste like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Some spicy woodiness rounds it all out for a sumptuous finish.

Today I’m smoking a cigar some would consider an unsung staple in the Oliva portfolio, Oliva Serie G, and I’m firing up a 5 by 54 Double Robusto. The truth is, Serie G is simply outshined by other illustrious Oliva cigars like the original Serie V and the former ‘#1 Cigar of the Year,’ Serie V Melanio. Not surprised one bit by how good this smoke was. It had been awhile since my last Serie G, and it was a welcomed change of pace from my typical full bodied – full spiced cigars. This mild-medium body, was exactly what I needed. Something easy to smoke that easy on my palate. Do yourself a favor, if you haven’t tried the Serie G go pick up a few from your local B&M. The Oliva Serie G Robusto provided a nice, classic flavor profile and walked that fine line with the bitterness through the first two thirds on the positive side. As the bitterness reemerged and built up in the final third, it dropped the enjoyment level down a bit. The price point on the cigar is fantastic and with the flavor profile delivered, it's a no brainer to come back to and recommend.
