Oliva Serie O Churchill
Cigar Aficionado · Jan 1, 2014
Oliva Cigar Co. has considerable tobacco stocks, and its Serie O brand is made with Cuban-seed leaves from the three major growing regions of Nicaragua: Jalapa, Condega and Estelí, where the cigars are rolled. The smoke is delicious, with a salty, earthy flavor punctuated by tasty dried cherries and hints of cocoa and cedar. And it's hard to beat the value—this is a cigar of considerable size (7 inches long with a 50 ring gauge) and it retails for a mere $6.20 a cigar, or $124 for a box of 20. Oliva has had a cigar in our Top 25 every year since 2005, which is a considerable and commendable feat.

Finally, winter is ending and smoking outside is upon us! I have in my hand a perfectly rolled Oliva Serie O in a classic 6 x 50 Toro to welcome the warmer weather. As the days get longer, let’s review a fine Nicaraguan handmade you can add to your collection before you’re back on the golf course.Read full review on Holt's Staff Reviews
Oliva Serie O
Kaplowitz · Jun 15, 2022
Exotic spice | Cream | Pale fruit/citrus Bright spices of yellow-orange complexions. Whipped cream with fresh-pale fruit. Suede. White chocolate grows. White peppery-citrus and pine, buttery cedar wood structure with fluffy-earth under-belly. Draws a half-hair snug. Carefree burn-line which wobbles a tick. Ash stacks thick and dense, palely-so. Moderate+ smoke output culminates in a kind sweet-spiced-fruity aroma.

Halfwheel · Nov 17, 2010
I thought this was a good cigar; it had great flavor, a mellow tone and the spice and pepper it showed kept things interesting. Perhaps for my taste buds it was a touch mild, but what do you expect from a cigar that was pretty mild to begin with? It had a wonderful smooth aged cedar flavor and a great aged aroma to it. The cigar performed quite well and I had no construction problems with it while I smoked. I would really like to try some more of these as well as other vitolas. While this was a good cigar, I honestly think the Serie O Bold would be more up my alley body and strength wise, but I would smoke another one of these classic any day, especially considering the price point on them.

Developing Palates · Nov 4, 2022 · 2005
The Oliva Serie O Natural Robusto had a nice start with a nice combination of flavors and transitions. The second third dropped down a level as the baking spice departed and the final third dropped another level as the bitterness joined in. With the low price point, this is an easy try, but it wouldn't be my first choice to revisit in the Oliva portfolio and I wouldn't see myself coming back to this particular line all that often.
