JRE Aladino Connecticut Robusto

Blind Man's Puff · Oct 14, 2020 · April 2019

JRE Tobacco Co. came out with a new version of it’s Aladino cigar in April of 2019. This version sported a Connecticut wrapper and was called the Aladino Connecticut. Aladino Connecticut has an Ecuadorian wrapper, Honduran binder, and Honduran fillers. It is rolled at Julio Eiroa ‘s Las Lomas Factory. This made the 4th cigar in the Aladino collection. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. JRE Aladino Connecticut comes in four sizes: Queens 5 1/4 x 46 — $6.80, Robusto 5 x 50 — $7.80, Toro 6 x 50 — $8.80, Churchill 7 x 52 — $9.80. Aladino gets its name from an old movie theater in Danlí, Honduras that was called El Cine Aladino where the Aladino factory now rests. This theater was operated by Christian and Justo Eiroa’s grandfather.

Aladino Connecticut Queens Perfecto by JRE Tobacco Co.

Cigar Coop · Apr 27, 2020

Since JRE Tobacco Company launched in 2016, the brand that has become the workhorse blend of the portfolio has been Aladino. In 2019, JRE Tobacco would introduce its fourth blend under the Aladino line with the Aladino Connecticut. While JRE Tobacco already has a Connecticut Shade cigar with the Tatascan Connecticut, that cigar is sweet-dipped. […] Key flavors: Cream, Cedar, Wood, Citrus, Black Pepper, Nut.

Aladino Connecticut 6 x 50

Halfwheel · Jul 24, 2019 · April 22, 2019

In my opinion, the Aladino family of brands, which includes the original as well as the Maduro, is probably the most under-appreciated on the market today. Its packaging is a bit plain, the marketing isn't flashy and the cigars aren't at some of the bigger catalog retailers; but, they are quite good. Outside of a creaminess, this doesn't really taste like a Connecticut-wrapped cigar, but that's perfectly fine with me.

Aladino Connecticut Robusto

Cigar Dojo · Jul 19, 2019

Give JRE Tobacco Company credit, they know who they are: an old-school outfit showcasing time-honored cigarmaking practices their way—the right way. For the latest entry into the growing collection of Aladino cigars—Aladino Connecticut—this means dialing back their Honduran Corojo intensity to best capture the subtle nuances of the famed Connecticut Shade wrapper ingredient. Aladino Connecticut is indeed mild, bringing smokers a slice of what a Connecticut experience used to be; where finesse is the name of the game. Have a prolonged conversation or spend a few minutes too long on your phone and you're suddenly behind the eight ball. No, this cigar is meant for those contemplative mornings—just you, a rocking chair, a creamy cup of coffee, and the quiet sounds of nature awakening for a new day.

Aladino Connecticut Queens

Cigar Aficionado · Aug 1, 2023

Mild and woody with a tapered foot, tea-like character and slight almond nuttiness. A touch of citrus adds some zest to the honey finish. Both the draw and burn are even.

ALADINO CONNECTICUT

Comedy Cigars Music · Sep 11, 2022

Sweet and smoothy creaminess washes over the palate. Earth and spice gently lend some detail on the outer edges. Earth darkens a bit through the retrohale, likely due to coffee and cream that slip through as well. Aladino’s finish allows for earth and spice to take on a bigger role with saltiness laying down a subtle foundation.Moving past first

JRE Aladino Connecticut Robusto

Developing Palates · Mar 20, 2020 · April 2019

I liked the JRE Aladino Connecticut Robusto and thought it was a nice addition to the Aladino brand. I was not blown away by it, and would not say it is a Connecticut that you have to search out, but it is a solid release. With that being said, well priced and a nice smoking experience.
