Alec Bradley Fine and Rare 2012 The Alec Bradley Fine and Rare 2012 is probably one of the most anticipated cigars for 2012. It marks the second release for Alec Bradley in its popular “Fine and Rare” series. For the Fine and Rare 2012, there comes a blend changes – and an increase in […]

A well-made torpedo, this excellent cigar draws well and imparts strong, spicy notes of leather and coffee before leaving a touch of sweet hickory on the palate.

If there was one word that kept popping into my mind as I was smoking these cigars, it is “intense.” The profile does not lack in flavors and includes notes of cloves, dried tea leaves and cedar that combine effortlessly with a massive amount of spice and black pepper mix, the latter of which recede a bit as the cigar burns down but never come close to disappearing completely. Throw in some marvelous toasted marshmallow sweetness on the retrohale—which is strong enough to be noticed over the black pepper that is also present, which is saying something—and you are left with not only a great cigar, but also the best Fine and Rare blend I have smoked in a very long time.

Cigar Dojo · Jun 9, 2026
The Alec Bradley Fine & Rare ANB-228 is exactly what this line has always aimed to be—one shot, one blend, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. This 10-tobacco Churchill leans heavily on Honduran and Nicaraguan roots but stretches things out with added depth from Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Right out of the gate, it shows a slightly rugged, no-nonsense look, and the pre-light already hints that this won’t be your standard profile. Once lit, the cigar finds its rhythm quickly, starting dark and rich before easing into a creamier middle that adds balance without losing its backbone. As the cigar progresses, it brings in touches of sweetness and dry spice before settling into a heavier, more grounded finish with a bit more grit.

Developing Palates · Sep 28, 2022 · March 2022
The Alec Bradley Fine & Rare BC-(13)4EV is a winner in my book. The profile showed good depth, balance, and composure. With just the right mix of spice, earth and sweetness, this is one I'd smoke again. And call me crazy, because I actually think the higher premium of $24 per cigar isn't too high, considering the price hike of the average cigar nowadays. Nicely done.
