The AVO 22 is a limited edition cigar that was originally released in 2002 and re-released in 2018 for the 30th anniversary of the brand. The original 22 was meant to celebrate that Avo Uvezian was born in the 22nd day of March. Like the original, the blend uses an Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper, Dominican binder, and four Dominican fillers. This time, the packagingcomes in a canister of 19 and come with bands. This is what cigar dreams are made of. This is not a strong cigar by any means, but it has flavor in spades and three words stuck with me as I was smoking this stick: complex, creamy and smooth. This is an excellent example of what a mild to medium cigar should taste like with flavors changing every time you turn around and just the right amount of spice to draw it all together. Throw in an amazing burn and draw for the entire cigar and you have an almost perfect specimen.

This attractive, reddish-brown has a firm bunch and a perfectly rounded head. It draws well, showing toasty, coffee flavors with hints of nuts. A delicious cigar that will only improve as it ages.

While I'd gladly smoke more, it probably isn't something I'd go out of my way to smoke again which is a bit of an odd conclusion based on how the cigar scored for me. As an anniversary cigar for the brand, I think it is a good representation of the core lines and what the brand was built on.
