AVO Expressions Limited Edition 2024
Halfwheel · Jul 9, 2024 · April 18, 2024
While I’ve probably only smoked half of the new AVOs that have debuted in the last five years, this is the best AVO I’ve smoked in quite some time. The cigar does a great job of having a core group of flavors that complement one another while also accentuated by the differences in sweetness, saltiness, tartness and dryness. It’s a dynamic profile, a cigar that I could smoke at the beginning of the day or one that could cap off the night. While not the single greatest cigar I’ve smoked in my life, it’s difficult to ask for much more.

Tall, blond and made with a pigtail cap, this toro has a textbook draw and burn. Every puff is layered with notes of tea and toast atop a cedary core. Accents of orange zest, butterscotch and cinnamon are also present. Great for fans of mild cigars.

Developing Palates · Dec 18, 2024 · April 2024
I enjoyed the AVO Expressions Limited Edition 2024, but it also seemed too expensive for the cigar. The flavor profile of cedar, hay, tobacco and spices is always a classic, and AVO does it well, so delivering a similar quality with an LE is silly. I guess you can say this is a good cigar, and a good AVO, but a bad LE. But, that is the case for many cigars.
