Camacho Corojo Maduro
Leaf Enthusiast · Mar 6, 2014
This cigar is not just a Honduran puro, but a Corojo puro, featuring 3 different primings of Corojo for the filler, a Corojo wrapper, and a 5th priming Corojo Maduro wrapper leaf.

This large, reddish torpedo smacks of leather and earth throughout, although there are plenty of nougat notes and cocoa flavors that precede a dry red wine finish. Complex.

Camacho Distillery Edition Corojo
Halfwheel · Apr 14, 2020 · July 2019
There is this brief moment right past the halfway mark of the Oliva Serie V Churchill Extra. For the last decade it’s been one of my favorite parts of any cigars and largely for one reason: a five minute period where the cigar is hitting on all cylinders, entering a place it hasn’t gone before and a place to which it won’t return. For about 10 minutes, the Camacho Distillery Edition Corojo delivers a fire-cured sensation through the retrohale that combines so well with some of the booze-infested sweet notes underneath them that it truly makes the cigar.. That fire-cured flavor is almost as rich and distinct as Drew Estate’s Kentucky Fire Cured line, but unlike the MUWAT KFC, after that 10 minutes, it's back to being a normal cigar. It gave just enough of the fire-cured flavors—both in time and in intensity—that I still wanted just a bit more even though I’d probably be disappointed with the outcome.

Blind Man's Puff · Apr 22, 2020 · July 2019
Camacho Cigars showed off the Distillery Edition concept at the IPCPR 2019 trade show. This new line has three blends, Corojo, Ecuador, and Connecticut. Each takes their respective regular production blends and barrel-ages the corojo in the filler or binders for six months. All three blends come in the same size, a 6 x 50 toro, and are priced at $9.25. All were shown off at the 2019 IPCPR trade show. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. The Corojo version uses a Honduras Corojo Ligero wrapper, Honduras Barrel-Aged Corojo & Corojo Ligero binders, and Honduras Corojo filler.

Cigar Dojo · Jun 6, 2017
The Camacho Corojo BXP is a new box-pressed line extension to the company’s popular and long-produced Corojo blend. Offered in three traditional sizes—the Robusto (5” x 50), the Gordo (6” x 60), and the Toro (6” x 50) smoked for the review—the cigars are composed with the same Honduran Corojo tobaccos as the regular line, except for a touch of Pennsylvania Broadleaf added to the filler. Delivering primary tasting flavors of earth, wood, natural tobacco, and zesty pepper, along with more subtle notes of bread, caramel, molasses, oak, and salted nuts, the Corojo BXP Toro will provide a pleasant, flavorful, and affordable smoking experience for nearly two hours. It is a cigar that can be enjoyed by both the novice and the more experienced cigar enthusiast.

When Davidoff CEO Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard became CEO in 2011, one of the initiatives he put in place was a theme of innovation. This has resulted in Davidoff producing products which might be out of what is considered the company’s comfort zone. One theme that has been making its way through the Davidoff portfolio has been […] Key flavors: Earth, Pepper, Natural Tobacco, Mineral.

Holt's Staff Reviews · Apr 18, 2019
My earliest cigar smoking memories and purchasing decisions were shaped by the Cigar Boom of the 1990s. To help sum it up, I’d like to borrow a line from famed literary novelist Charles Dickens in A Tale of Two Cities, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness…” Let that marinate in your brain for a fleeting moment as we proceed down memory lane with the wit and wisdom of yours truly. It’s been 20+ plus years since Camacho appeared in my regular smoking rotation.Read full review on Holt's Staff Reviews

Developing Palates · Sep 11, 2020 · July 2019
I personally don't care for the flavor profile overall, it is not my cup of tea, but nonetheless it is a good cigar and I believe some would enjoy this offering of the Camacho Corojo. In my opinion, just stick with the classic Camacho Corojo over this Camacho Distillery Edition Corojo Toro.
