I always love seeing what cigar companies have in store for anniversary blends, and La Flor Dominican knocked it out of the park with the 25th Anniversary. This is easily one of the most complete releases I have smoked in the past six months, with all aspects of the complex profile working together in harmony: flavors, balance, strength and construction. Despite the fact that the Churchill vitola is larger than my preferred vitola, there was no point that I wanted the La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary to end and I could hardly ask for more from a cigar.

Litto Gomez started in the cigar business 25 years ago this year following a robbery of his jewelry store. At first, the brand was balled Los Libertadores, which in 1996 was changed to La Flor Dominicana. This is one of the most successful cigar brands from the 90’s cigar boom. To celebrate this anniversary comes this new cigar for 2019, La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary. This cigar was reviewed blind (no bands) by a panel of at least 4 reviewers. They did not know what they were smoking beforehand. The scores are an average of all the reviewers' scores with outliers removed. All of our cigars reviewed are shipped to the panelists with Boveda packs to ensure optimal smoking experience. La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary comes in one vitola, a 7 x 52 churchill. The blend uses a corojo wrapper grown in Ecuador, and binder and filller from Gomez farms in Dominican Republic. The price is $18 per cigar and comes in boxes of 25 that have been painted with a glossy black, piano-lacquer finish. The cigar is rolled like all other LFD releases at Tabacalera La Flor S.A. cigar factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.
