Macanudo Inspirado Orange Churchill

Cigar Aficionado · Jun 1, 2017

The thick, buttery smoke of this sophisticated Churchill enriches its leather and mesquite qualities as well as the bright, resonant notes of almonds, citrus and black pepper. A complex and harmonious cigar.

Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade Toro

Cigar Dojo · Feb 4, 2022

This was a surprising cigar for me. I have experienced all but one of the previous releases in the Inspirado line, and this one is definitely a different animal. You can tell care was taken to make this a flavor-forward smoking experience, offering nuanced sweetness without giving into the current convention of covering up imperfections with heavy-handed strength or body.

Macanudo Inspirado Orange

Kaplowitz · Mar 1, 2022

White pepper | Bandage adhesive | Honey A gate-to-wire vastly unchangeable melange of the following, led by dried bandage adhesive and honey malt*: White peppercorn becomes coarsely-ground via progression, cardboard, pale spice, weakly-brewed lightly-roasted coffee, clotted cream (in & out), and chicken coop. *Dissecting the said honey malt: white toast, unsalted pretzel crumbs, and a certain tartness. Having no strident delineations can lead to a certain sense of complexity, sure. Some sneaky n

Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade Toro

Cigar Coop · Oct 9, 2021

The Macanudo Inspirado Series is a series of cigars under General Cigar Company’s Macanudo brand that brings a contemporary look and feel. Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade Toro

Halfwheel · Jun 27, 2021 · May 2021

I have always been a fan of trying cigars that incorporate unique tobacco, and the Brazilian-grown Connecticut shade wrapped Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade certainly qualifies in that regard. Although the profile starts out nicely with distinct flavors of fresh hay and cedar, it did not change much by the end of the cigar, and while there is some white pepper and honey sweetness on the retrohale, neither are ever strong enough to make a significant impact. In the end, the Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade is easily enjoyable enough to recommend trying—both in terms of flavor profile and uniqueness—but I would absolutely smoke a couple before springing for a box.

Macanudo Inspirado Orange

Holt's Staff Reviews · Sep 26, 2025

Technically, Inspirado Orange has been part of the iconic Macanudo portfolio for over ten years, dating back to the cigar’s debut as a European exclusive in 2014. It has been in the States since 2016. During that time, the folks at General Cigar, parent company of Macanudo, have steadily expanded the Inspirado line with a collection of new releases. Today, I’m firing up a 5-by-50 Robusto in the Inspirado Orange blend to accompany my earlier reviews of Inspirado Black and Inspirado White. Macanudo cigars have been mainstays in humidors around the world since the 1970s.

Macanudo InspiradoBrazilian Shade

CigarCzars · Jul 16, 2024

Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade cigars are made in Dominican Republic with Connecticut Shade wrappers grown in Brazil, Mexican San Andrean binders, and a blend of filler tobaccos from Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Originally launched in May 2021, these limited edition cigars have been released again in June 2024. They are available in two sizes: Churchill (7 x 48) and Toro (6½ x 52). This is a review of the Toro size, which is priced at $10.99 per cigar. For more information, please refer to thepress release. The sample Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade Toro cigars began with pleasant and mild flavors of naturally sweet tobacco along with hints of nuts and spice. The flavors were mostly consistent throughout the smoke, but the mild sweetness gradually began to fade after the first few puffs, and notes of cedar emerged in one of the samples around the 20-minute mark. These cigars would be a very good choice not only for beginners, but also for mainstream cigar smokers and connoisseurs who occasionally prefer a mild-to-medium bodied smoke (second sample was closer to medium bodied). The sample Macanudo cigars maintained a steady and mostly even burn which did not require any relights, with only minor and optional touch-ups at around their half-way points. The cigars had a nice draw and held a long ash. It took me about 75 minutes to smoke each Toro-sized cigar down to two inches remaining. These mild-to-medium bodied Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade cigars fit perfectly into the Macanudo line-up. The cigars smoke exactly how Macanudo's are expected, based on the reputation of the brand. I rate Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade cigars with a very respectable and good 3.75 points on a 5-point scale.

Macanudo Inspirado Palladium Robusto

Developing Palates · Jul 17, 2020 · August 2019

The Macanudo Inspirado Palladium Robusto was an enjoyable and pleasant smoking experience. Although, the final third didn't have the same levels of complexity present in the first two thirds. Overall, the strength never seemed to climb above medium minus and I feel like this cigar could appeal to a broad range of cigar smokers.
